Pension Žitava processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”). We have taken appropriate technical, organisational and personnel measures in accordance with EU regulations and the relevant legislation of the Slovak Republic.

We respect your right to privacy. Below you will find detailed information about what personal data we process, for what purpose, for how long, to whom we disclose it further, what your rights are. We only ask for information that you yourself want to give us and those that are.

Purpose of processing personal data :

The purpose is according to the Law no. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts § 13 letter

(b) the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or for the performance of a pre-contractual measure at the request of the data subject,

(d) the processing of personal data is necessary for the protection of the life, health or property of the data subject or of another natural person; and

(f) the processing of personal data is necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party, except where those interests are overridden by the interests or rights of the data subject requiring the protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child; this legal basis shall not apply to the processing of personal data by public authorities in the performance of their duties.

What personal data do we require from you?

We collect your information : name, address, telephone number, identity card number and signature or other personal data according to the entries in the register of residents.

How do we use your personal data?

If you voluntarily provide us with personal data, we will not use it, process it or transfer it beyond the limitations of the law or beyond the limits you specify in your consent declaration. We process your data when using electronic communication with you or for registration in our frequent guest program. This data is necessary for the provision of our services to you, in postal communications with you, we will only disclose your personal data to a third party if we are compelled to do so by a court order or other public authority decision

Telephone communication:

In the event that we need to communicate with you by telephone, we will contact you at the telephone number you provide to us. Your telephone number will not be used for marketing purposes, but solely for communication regarding your order or request.

Sharing information with third parties:

We will not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.

We have taken technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, manipulation and unauthorized access. We constantly adapt our security measures in line with technological progress and developments.

Card payments :

To make card payments with us as secure as possible, all information is sent in encrypted form using SSL protocol. This means that the information passes through a secure connection and that your payment card details cannot be read by external parties. When you pay by card, we work with an authorised payment processor who helps us verify directly with your bank that the card is valid for purchases. We do this through our services and by sharing the information with you. The data we collect from you is stored only within the European Union.

Processing time :

The processing period of your personal data in the guest book is within a period of 14 days from the end of your stay. In documentary form, such as contracts, they are kept according to accounting laws. Other data is only used for the purposes of communication and security of our guests and is not stored further.
Penzión Žitava, s.r.o. will dispose of the stored data after the expiration of the period specified by law, the consent granted or if it is no longer needed. Of course, you can request the destruction of your data at any time. You are entitled to withdraw your consent to the processing or use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future.
